Australian Mining Jobs for Older Workers and Employment

There is a range of positions available for older workers in the mining industry. This industry requires a large number of it's employees to be physically fit considering the intense working conditions compared to other industries. For a FIFO position you could expect to work up to 8 to 10 days at a time, fly home for a few days off before being flown back to work again. In some cases couples can request to share accommodation and have the same days off.

Half of the mining workforce is made up of employees under the age of 40 and half are over the age of 40. The main sectors of the mining industry that is made up of older workers is in Administration and and Management.
