Tuesday 9 March 2010 - I ran into an old school friend at lunch today hes running the kitchen down here which took me by suprise (he was always the one at school that just seemed to lack any direction who eagerness to do anything, seems to be doing ok for himself now though), me and him are planning on doing a Fishing / Drinking trip up north sometime, could also be a great time to try out that Longboard I got for my birthday, hasnt had much use round here the closest thing to a wave round here is the mullock heaps that were left behind by the opal miners.

Sunday 7 March 2010 - Its getting hotter and hotter here, man am I glad these trucks have enough air conditioning to cool a lava flow, one of the guys aircondition packed up on him and which left him sweating in his cab for the day, he came out looking like he had just piggybacked Rosie O'Donnel through the New York marathon. The boss has been out and about again yabbering about safety, I guess he's just covering his ass incase something goes wrong cause he's the dodgiest prick out here.

Friday 5 March 2010 - Ive been on the job now for nearly 2 months and havnt caught the cabin fever everyones talking about, personally I think its a load of bull. I currently have been driving the piggish CAT 793 and are running trips back and forward from the quarry to the number 2 crusher, In a month or so im meant to be changing trucks to the Cat 797B ah, I cant wait this things a monster, over 3500hp, weighs almost 700 tonnes and seven metres high, makes a bit of a change from the commodre ive got back home.
